On Saturday 21st June the band led the annual Freckleton Club Day procession that heralds a big weekend for the village. The band plays for a different church each year and this time it was the turn of the Holy Family RC Church, which just so happens to be at the far end of the village. So with a 9am start, the band marched back to the village centre with the Holy Family contingent for the other churches and bands to join on behind to begin the main route. The weather was (unseasonably) warm this year, and although the stretch up Kirkham Road has been axed this year, the heat took its toll on us all. We had a mild heat stroke, a twisted ankle and several players with blisters by the end of the day!
